After about two hours of switching CDs & DVDs… SUCCESS!

Even though I go home in 30 minutes. Nice!

I’m so frustrated with my Buffy Season 1, Disc 2 DVD. I’ve watched it before and yet I’m getting these errors. I was watching it fine on this lap top last night and suddenly it’s not working. I switch laptops and I get the same error, although, just recently, it gave me not capable of playing in this region.  It’s so frustrating. I don’t have a DVD player so I’m all AHHHHGH!

Now I’m getting digital copyright warning. I’m not trying to rip it! I’m trying to watch it. I get that I could watch it online but what’s the point of waiting for it to download when I have the DVD right here?

When I was much younger, my dad was in the Air Force and we lived in Germany as well as the Netherlands. It rarely snowed there. When it did, snow - it would melt straight away and I used to get upset because I never had a chance to play in it. When we stayed with my grandpa in Iowa (where I live now, although we lived in numerous places after the three months while my dad got settled at an AFB in Georgia) I got to play in the snow. When my mom told me to come in, I cried and said I didn’t want to, afraid the snow would melt by the time I was able to come outside again. My aunt had to explain to me that it doesn’t always melt straight away and can last for months. Back then, I was happy about the snow.

Now, as I’m twenty-three, almost twenty-four, I really don’t like it. I’ve grown to into an adult, disliking the cold, hating the snow, hating to shovel and put up with the terrible roads. Today, for the first time since March, it snowed. We’re almost three weeks into December and it’s finally snowing. The entire state is under a blizzard watch. You know when they say “when it rains, it pours”? When it snows, it freakin’ blizzards. Living in Southern Iowa, it didn’t get hit as hard as the Northern part of the state did last week. We were lucky. Now we’re getting all the snow we didn’t want. Sigh.

I was wearing flip flops just yesterday. True story!

I opened the door to take my dog out and this is what I saw… this doesn’t even describe what it’s like outside. :(
